HYROX is the fitness race for Every Body. If you are over 16 years old and want to take on the challenge, you are more than welcome at HYROX. With Pro, Open, Doubles and Relay Divisions, there is a race for every one. There are no maximum time caps or qualifications necessary. Did you know that our oldest competitor is 73 years old and still going strong.
HYROX is growing rapidly around the world and new countries and cities are constantly being added to the calendar. HYROX is normally organized in large indoor expo venues to make sure we can host as many athletes as possible. With over 12.000m2 of fitness, HYROX would cover 3 soccer pitches!
Age group Singles
The age groups are determined by the age at the time of the event.
(1) U24 (16-24)

(5) 40 – 44
(6) 45 – 49
(7) 50 – 54
(8) 55 – 59
(9) 60 – 64
(10) 65 – 69

Age group Doubles
The division of the age groups is based on the average age of the two DOUBLES participants at the time of the event.
(1) U29 (16-29)
(2) 30-39
(3) 40-49
(4) 50-59
(5) 60-69
(6) 70+
Age group Relay
The classification of the age groups is based on the average average age of all team participants at the time of the event.
(1) U40
(2) 40+
This will depend on your fitness level. The average HYROX finisher time last season was 1H:32M. But the race has no time cap, there were finishers taking 3 hours whilst Hunter Mcintyre and Megan Jacoby hold the HYROX World Record in 54 and 58 minutes respectively.
HYROX is an official sport with worldwide rankings and results, ensuring standardized and comparable scoring. Please click here to view the competition rules for the different divisions.
In order to qualify for the HYROX World Championships, you need to participate in any of our global races during the season. Depending on your division and age group, a certain number of qualifying slots are awarded at each race. If you are one of those great performers, you will receive an invitation and have up to 48 hours to claim your spot, otherwise it will be allocated to the next competitor. Please note that there are no qualification spots for the HYROX Relay. At the HYROX World Championships in Manchester in 2023, there were over 2.400 participants from around the world!
Your start time will be emailed to you a week prior to the event so make sure you keep an eye out. You will also receive the Athlete Guide with all the official and practical information needed. Each division has their own start time slots. The time slots for the divisions will be communicated earlier so you have an indication of your start time. It is recommended that you arrive 90 minutes before your start time in order to allow enough time to register and warm up.
HYROX is designed to give your training a purpose. HYROX is ideally trained in a HYROX Partner Gym with certified trainers who professionally support you in your preparation. With our “Partner Gym Finder” you can quickly get an overview of which HYROX Gym is closest to you.

You can make selected changes to your participation up to one week before the event. For more detailed information, please read our General Terms and Conditions (paragraph 6 Exchange/Re-Registration). Please note that the rebooking rules have changed compared to last season!
In general, these changes to your booking are possible (a detailed explanation can be found in the terms and conditions linked above):
Option A: Participant change (as long as gender and event remain the same)
Option B: Event change within the same year and region (as long as participants and gender remain the same and the event in the booked division is not sold out)
Option C: A change of divisions is generally NOT possible, except in one special case: A Doubles Ticket can be changed into a Single Ticket if a team member becomes ill. Please note that this will invalidate the 2nd starting place without a refund.
Refunds are excluded also in case of illness!
How to submit rebooking request:
Option A: You can now easily change the ticket holder yourself: Open the email that HYROX sent you after your ticket purchase. Click on the “Activate ticket(s)” button and you will be redirected to a confirmation page. You will find your booked tickets there. Click on the gray arrow of the ticket you want to change and then on “Change personalization”. You will now be asked to pay the processing fee. The ticket will then be reset and you can enter new athlete details. To send the ticket to another person, simply copy the url and forward it. Xou can also select the tickets you want to change in your customer account. You do not know how to create a user account or where to log in? The question is also answered in the FAQ! Spectators are welcome, because there is nothing better than starting in front of friends or family, right? The spectator area has been designed so your support can be close to you at almost every workout. Spectator tickets, like athlete tickets, can be purchased online on the event page of the HYROX website or on-site on event day (cashless). Children under 12 do not need a ticket, but must be accompanied by an adult.

TICKET/ RACE RELATED FAQ
To find your race head to the HYROX Website > Athletes > Find My Race. Here you will find an overview of our racing calendar across the world for the current season.
Once in the event of your choice click the “Buy Tickets Here” button then select either “Athlete” or “Spectator” tickets.
After completing your purchase, you’ll be redirected to a confirmation page and will receive an email summarising your order.
On the confirmation page, you’ll be prompted to “personalise your ticket.” This step is crucial to secure your entry into the race. If you’re not on the confirmation page, make sure to check your email and click on “activate tickets” to personalise your tickets. Only after personalising your ticket will you receive a QR code for on-site check-in. Please note that all tickets must be personalised at least two weeks before the event to ensure you’re assigned a race start time.
No changes to your ticket, inclusive of start times and name changes, are possible on-site as per the T&C’s.
For Season 2025/26: Your athlete wristbands will give you access to the venue only on the day of your race. If you want to enter the venue on any other day, you’ll need to buy a spectator ticket via hyrox.com.
You have the possibility to create an account with your email address. In the account, you will find an overview of your races including order confirmation and tickets. So nothing gets lost! In addition, it records your personal data, which saves time when filling out the form for later bookings. Of course, you can also book as a guest.
Important: HYROX takes place in different regions/countries. We work with separate booking systems for each country. This means that you have to create a separate account for each country for the respective events of a country. An account for your cross-country events is unfortunately not possible.

All tickets must be personalised no later than 2 weeks out from the event. If you need help finding your tickets, please follow the respective HYROX Account links below, log in using the same email address associated to the ticket*, locate your ticket & personalise.
*If you don’t have a HYROX Account yet, please create one using the same email address associated with your ticket.
Through registration of your HYROX ticket, you are opting in to receive event-related information to the email address you have provided.
If there was a typo in your email address or you mistakenly unsubscribed, please reach out to the UK Customer Support Team to get the issue resolved.
You are free to unsubscribe from all HYROX emails at any time, but please note by doing so you will miss out on valuable race information sent via email. If you still desire to unsubscribe, this can be done directly via the unsubscribe link in the email.
